Pelleres Base Training
PBT is a core strength and conditioning program like no other. PBT involves a series of exercises and movement patterns designed to activate your core. We isolate muscles and practice engaging key core stabilizers during movement. We basically all move the same way, we follow exactly the same movement patterns when we walk and run. Subsequently there are exercises which help strengthen the relationships that are connecting during movement. We all know, or are continually told, that core strength plays an intregal part of life. Most, if not all, health and exercise practitioners would recommend it to most of us to maintain good core strength.
Who does PBT?
Elite amateur and professional athletes do Pelleres Base Training as part of their core strengthening training. All athletes follow a training cycle in preparation for their competition.
All athletes undergo core strength training block right from the beginning of their training cycle. Olympic gold medalists, Olympians, professional sports men and women, state and national open and age-group champions, world champions, sports academies & institutes, high performance units are all understand the importance of building a strong foundation for the training season.

Why is PBT so good?
Pelleres provide a unique stimulus on the human body. Weight positioned along our forearms engages our core muscles like no other product or device, consequently when we overload these core muscles with specific movement patterns our core is strengthened in a functional manner.
The proof of PBT is in the result. When you undergo PBT your core is strengthened on a multi-dimensional plane. The specific type of exercises and movement patterns ensures that the core is functionally strengthened; this means through rotation, elevation, etc.
Neural pathways are strengthened – (be careful here, there is lots of debate about created vs strengthened, for the record we’re on no-ones side), the body learns, or re-learns how to function and move better, with more efficiency. For example we teach ourselves which core muscles to engage when we sit down.
The Three (3) Main Reasons Why Sports People (and you too) do a Core Strength and Conditioning Program.
1. Improved performance. There is a direct relationship between core strength and performance. Sports people by their nature want to do their best or improve their performance. When core strength improves, performance improves.
2. Reduce risk of injury. There is a direct relationship between core strength and risk of injury. Sports people dislike a lot being injured. A lot injuries can be directly related to the instability of the pelvis during exercise. Being stable during the the extreme range of movement is very important. The more stable the better the performance.
3. Reduces rehab time. Everyone gets injured, all rehab programs should contain some form of core strengthening as it is a contributor to the injury. The sooner the body can meet (or exceed) pre-injury levels the sooner recovery. Strengthening or creating neural pathways by subtle overload.
